A man-packable reconnaissance aircraft for small teams. Two-minute setup, 45 minutes on station, and a stabilized EO/IR payload that keeps working when GPS does not.
APOL folds into a backpack and launches from the hand. The airframe is a carbon quadrotor with folding arms; the flight computer runs visual-inertial navigation, so the aircraft holds position and flies its route with the satellite feed jammed or absent.
The payload is a three-axis stabilized EO/IR gimbal with onboard detection and tracking. Video and telemetry run over an encrypted mesh link back to a tablet ground station. Batteries are hot-swappable, and the whole system is built and assembled in the United States.
